La collezione di Mutillidae e di Bradynobaenidae (Hymenoptera) di Guido Pagliano

In many years of entomological research, Guido Pagliano has formed a large collection of Hymenoptera belonging to the Mutillidae and Bradynobaenidae families from all over the world. Numerous specimens have been personally collected in Italy and in different areas of the world (Europe, North Africa, Argentina) and others are the result of exchanges with various specialists, such as D.J. Brothers (South Africa), R. Cambra (Panama), A.S. Lelej (Russia), A. Williams (United States) and G. Nonveiller who in life sent specimens from Central Africa. Many specimens are the result of donations from entomologists such as P. Lo Cascio, M. Matteini Palmerini and M. Romano P. L. Scaramozzino, F. Strumia and are collected during their entomological research trips. The Mutillidae collection is organized according to the checklist of Pagliano et al. (2020), which reports the so far known species; that of Bradynobaenidae is set following the world list of Pagliano and Romano (2018). The collection is composed of 10356 identified specimens of 164 genera, 1074 species, 72 subspecies and forms of Mutillidae; and 558 identified specimens belonging to 11 genera, 136 species and 4 subspecies of Bradynobaenidae. It also contains 121 typical specimens (holotypes, parapypes and paralectotypes) of Mutillidae (32 species and 1 form) and 84 typical specimens of Bradynobaenidae (45 species and 1 subspecies).
