Data on Symi mammals are very scarce. In the present work, the results of a research carried out on the Falco tinnunculus pellets analysis and on mammal carcasses are shown. The following taxa have been identified: Talpa sp., Suncus etruscus, Apodemus mystacinus, Mus sp., Rattus rattus, Rattus sp. As observed in most Mediterranean islands, the mammal fauna of Symi seems to be the result of the anthropic interventions in historical times, as well as of the biogeography of eastern Europe and western Asia.
