Five new species of Chrysomelinae (Coleoptera Chrysomelidae) are described from the Neotropical Region, resuming the main characteristics of the related subtribes and genera; a new genus in subtribe Prasocurina is described: Pachamela nov. gen. with the new species P. bordoni (from Perú); Planagetes guyana nov. sp. (from French Guyana) related to P. exochomus Bechyné; Platyphora annalaurae nov. sp. (from Colombia) related to P. latispina (Guérin); Plagiodera clarki nov. sp. (from Bolivia) related to P. prasinipennis Harold; Plagiodera zoiai nov. sp. (from Ecuador) related to P. viridipennis Stal.
