The Bollettino del Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali di Torino is a scientific journal dedicated to advancing research across all disciplines of the natural sciences. It publishes original articles, including new observations, systematic reviews, methodological developments, taxonomic revisions, historical analyses, and museological studies related to natural history collections - whether scientific or educational, public or private.

Particular attention is given to research that utilizes, documents, or contextualizes voucher specimens, thereby contributing to their preservation, scientific study, and public understanding. The journal aims to foster dialogue among researchers, curators, educators, and historians, promoting an integrated approach to the study and appreciation of natural heritage.

The journal places particular emphasis on: (1) taxonomic research, with a dedicated focus on systematic studies, descriptions of new taxa, and revisions of species groups across all biological kingdoms; (2) research from emerging countries, supporting and prioritizing work conducted in the biodiversity-rich regions; (3) regional-scale studies, which connect global perspectives with local contexts, especially those focused on the Alpine region, the Mediterranean basin, and other biogeographically significant areas; (4) conservation in its dual meaning, covering both curatorial conservation - the care, management, and study of natural history collections – and biodiversity and ecological conservation - the protection of species, natural landscapes, ecosystems, and natural heritage.
